Half Day Standards Course

Description:
This is a general course that can be customized to create a half day course on your organization's customized standards. HFI uses this same template as a starting point when developing their own custom programs. It assumes you already have a screen template standard.

The course illustrates why standards are important, how to access the standard, and how to design screens under a standard. You will need to customize the course to your organization, but having this template will make it much faster. Your internal UX staff should be able to give this course without much trouble. You will find PPT files for each course section.

Payments, Pricing, and Refunds Policy

Payments

By Users for Purchases

The User buying the Content, including User Content (the “Buyer”) is responsible for all sales taxes, VAT, or similar taxes. All payments are to be made in US dollars via PayPal, except that if the total transaction amount is $1,000.00 or above, the buyer can choose to pay either via PayPal or EFT/ACH.

By HFI to Users for Sales of User Content

Users that post User Content for sale receive seventy percent (70%) of the revenue from sales of the applicable User Content. Users must have an active free Premier or Business PayPal account to receive payment. If the Buyer paid via PayPal, HFI will distribute payment to the User selling the User Content (the “Seller”) as soon as reasonably possible after the payment transaction with the buyer is complete. If the Buyer paid via EFT/ACH, HFI will distribute payment to the Seller as soon as reasonably possible after the payment is deposited into HFI’s PayPal account.
Even in the event that HFI is the “primary receiver” of any funds for sales of User Content, HFI is not responsible for any User Content. The User creating and/or posting the User Content is solely responsible for such User Content. For more information regarding the User’s responsibility for the User Content, please see the User Representations set forth in the Terms of Use.

Pricing

HFI does not set, and is not responsible for, User Content pricing. Prices for User Content must be firm for sixty (60) days after the price is posted or modified. A User posting User Content for sale may offer discounts, bundles of User Content, or other deals, subject to the restrictions on pricing set forth herein.

Refunds for UX Objects Provided by HFI

HFI does not offer refunds for UX Objects provided by HFI. The Buyer will be able to preview the UX Objects provided by HFI before completing the purchase.

Refunds for UX Objects Provided by Users and Other User Content

It is the responsibility of the Seller to ensure the quality of the Seller’s User Content and include any special terms for purchase of the User Content, including, without limitation, the terms and conditions for refunds. In the event the Buyer is not satisfied with the User Content, the Buyer can contact HFI in order to obtain the contact information provided by the Seller. Dispute resolution between the Buyer and the Seller is the responsibility of the Buyer and the Seller, and HFI is not responsible for, and does not otherwise participate in, any such dispute resolution.
HFI cannot guarantee the quality of the User Content sold via the Website or guarantee the lack of errors in such User Content (including, without limitation, misspellings and grammatical or other errors). HFI does not monitor or inspect User Content prior to inclusion in products sold via the Website, and the user creating and/or posting such User Content bears all responsibility for such User Content.

Acceptable Use Policy

Capitalized terms used but not defined herein shall have the meaning set forth in the Terms of Use. The most current version of these Terms of Use can be reviewed at http://www.uxmarketplace.com/docs/terms_and_conditions.html".. HFI has adopted this Acceptable Use Policy to make you aware of the terms and conditions regarding your use of the Website and any portion thereof. This Acceptable Use Policy is subject to the additional terms and conditions set forth in the Terms of Use.

You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable laws and regulations related to your use of the Website and any portion thereof. In addition, you are solely responsible for any and all acts and omissions that occur under your account or password, and you agree not to engage in unacceptable use of the Website or any portion thereof or any User Content that you may access, sell or purchase via the Website, which includes, without limitation and except as otherwise set forth in the Terms of Use:

(a) use of the Website to post, store or disseminate material or information that, is or to a reasonable person may be false, fraudulent, unlawful, harmful, tortious, abusive, obscene, pornographic, defamatory, libelous, harassing, invasive of another’s privacy, offensive, vulgar, threatening, malicious, hateful or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable;
(b) use of the Website to post, store or disseminate Content, files, graphics, software or other material or information that actually or potentially infringes the rights of any person, including, without limitation, the copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret or other intellectual property rights, or privacy, moral or publicity rights, of any person;
(c) use of the Website to interfere, disrupt or attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts on the Website, to restricted portion of the Website, to Content, or any other computer network or equipment;
(d) use of the Website to post, store or disseminate viruses, Trojan horses or any other malicious code or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software, hardware, system or telecommunications equipment;
(e) use of the Website to post, store or disseminate any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, junk mail, spam, chain letters, pyramid schemes or other fraudulent schemes, or any other form of solicitation;
(f) use of any manual or automated software, devices or other processes to “crawl” or “spider” any web pages contained in the Website (including, without limitation, the use of robots, bots, spiders, scrapers or any other means to extract pricing, product, service or other data from the Website);
(g) use of the Website to gain competitive intelligence about HFI, the Website or any product or service offered via the Website or to otherwise compete with HFI or its affiliates;
(h) framing or otherwise simulating the appearance or functions of the Website or any portion thereof;
(i) harvesting or otherwise collecting any information about other users, including, without limitation, email addresses or other contact information of other users;
(j) use of the Website to engage in any activity that, as determined by HFI, may intentionally or unintentionally violate these Terms of Use, violate any applicable laws or regulations or conflict with the spirit or intent of these Terms of Use;
(k) copying, modifying, translating, transferring, adapting, reverse engineering, or otherwise creating derivative works from the Website, Content, or any portion thereof, except that you may create derivative works solely for your personal use or the internal use of the entity you represent, as set forth in the Terms of Use;
(l) use of the Website, Content, or any portion thereof to develop competitive products, products that relate to HFI’s line of business;
(m) removing any proprietary rights notices contained in or on the Website, Content, or any portion thereof;

HFI reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to audit Users’ use of the Website, Content, or any portion thereof to determine whether such use is within these limitations of use and otherwise complies with the terms and conditions contained in the Terms of Use.
